Proceeds from Fill-the-Boot fund research and local services provided by the Houston-Gulf Coast Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Angleton volunteer firefighters raised over $15\,000 last year and have a goal to raise $20\,000 this year.\n\n Fill-the-Boot takes place across the United States annually and firefighters have raised money for MDA families for more than 50 years. Proceeds raised during the campaign will help support services and research programs\, including MDA's outpatient clinics at Texas Children's Hospital and The Methodist Neurological Institute. Fill-the-Boot also helps children\, ages 6 17\, living with neuromuscular diseases attend MDA Summer Camp.
