SUMMARY:GLOW 5K and 600 Meter Dash
DESCRIPTION:The Angleton Parks and Recreation is having their first ever GLOW 5K! It will be at Freedom Park June 14\, 2014 at 8:30pm. Participants can run\, walk or stroll in the dark with the help of glow sticks\, glow paint\, black light photo areas and\, of course\, motivating music. We will be offering a 600 meter dash for children 2-12 that will start at 8:00pm. Our staff and volunteers will supervise and entertain child participants on the playground so parents can participate in the 5K. We will also be offering a raffle for participants following the run and awards ceremony. There will be 8 age categories\, and first\, second and third place in each age division will receive a medal. The first place in each age group will also receive a one month family membership to the Angleton Recreation Center\, and the first overall male and female will get a premier medal. This is a family friendly event where we encourage the community to walk\, run or wheel their way across the finish line.
