Connect with Christmases of the past as the Varner-Hogg Plantation Volunteers and Friends present a fundraising event, ?An Evening at the Plantation.?
Begin your evening with a tour of the plantation house decorated for an 1800s Texas Christmas. Listen as your costumed guide shares stories of holiday traditions and meals of the past. Next, stroll the grounds while enjoying heavy hors d?oeuvres and a variety of hot and cold beverages. Take time to sit and enjoy the sounds of the season with live music. Spend a relaxing evening before the hustle and bustle of the season begins while supporting a good cause.
Tickets for the event are $12 per person, and can be purchased in advance at the site or by phone, beginning Oct. 26. Tickets will also be for sale at the West Columbia Chamber of Commerce office. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call 979.345.4656.
All proceeds from this event will fund adult and children?s programming at the plantation.
