Leadership is a cause and effect relationship. In order to motivate volunteers, staff, and communities to become more active and impactful, chamber leaders need to evaluate and learn how to empower others. It is like a restored hot rod or custom motorcycle, no matter how good it looks sitting still, to get it to move down the road…you must get the motor running. Chamber leaders, both volunteer and staff, must play the role of the motor. This session will take an in-depth, but very interactive and creative, approach to illustrating how to empower others to create action and outcomes. This session is about adding a “turbo charger” to your volunteer, community based, “motor” of community volunteers.
Content includes:
- willing to question and learn
- being visionary
- being adventuresome, learning to take risk
- serving as a mentor to your disciples
- learning to handle confrontation with a warrior attitude
