Juneteenth Celebration

Spend the day at Varner-Hogg Plantation as the site commemorates the 145th anniversary of the end of slavery in the United States and Texas, and remembers the lives of those who were enslaved. A special walking tour focused on the plantation's slaves and how they lived will be available for $2 per person, and a craft and educational station will be located near the remains of the site's slave cabins to answer questions for interested visitors.
