Patriot Day September 11th Remembrance
Teresa McGee, president of the Exchange Club of Angleton, announced the club will be sponsoring a Patriot Day September 11th Remembrance. The event will begin at 8:30AM that day at the Veteran's Gazebo Park on Chenango Street.
In keeping with the ideals of Exchange, our club wanted to make sure the Angleton community had a venue for remembrance and reflection upon the events of September 11, 2001. It will be a solemn time for our community, as Americans, to renew our vow to never forget, said McGee.
She continued, We invite everyone to join us that morning for a short program where we will honor our country, law enforcement, firefighters and emergency personnel, veterans and soldiers. There will be prayer, presentation of the colors, and the National Anthem.
Everyone that attends will receive an American flag, she concluded.
